Hendrix, Jimi (1942-1970)

An Afro-American guitarist and one of the first electric guitar virtuosos. In 1966 he went to London and formed the rock group The Jimi Hendrix Experience. His passionate music shook up in particular the fields of the Woodstock festival inn 1969. He died in 1970, aged twenty-seven.
