Bioethanol

Ethanol is ethylized alcohol (the same alcohol found in all alcoholic drinks) which has a biological and agricultural origin. The prefix bio- does not mean, as it is often thought, that the name came from biological agriculture; it simply means the substance is produced from vegetable material. Bioethanol is used as a substitute for gasoline in gasoline engines. The terms bio-fuel or agro-fuel are also used.
