René Warnant

Background

With a degree in physics from UCL, René Warnant began working as an assistant at the Royal Observatory of Belgium in 1988; while there, he prepared his doctoral thesis on the influence of the ionosphere on positioning by GPS, which he defended in 1996. In 2005, he was appointed part-time junior lecturer at ULg. In 2007, he became the head of the "ionospheric profiles" section at the Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI). In 2011, he left IRM to take up a full-time teaching post at ULg.
